  • Description

There is much confusion and an overload of information in the weight loss industry. In this course, Anri (from Ariani Health Solutions) explains the holistic approach to weight loss (or rather fat loss) while following a scientific-based approach, including mindfulness practices for long term results.

This course will allow the counselor to gain knowledge to advise clients on holistic weight loss, as an additional service in their counselling practice.

Weight loss will always be a world-wide interest, due to modern day technologies and unhealthy habits. This course deals with the holistic factors to assist with long term fat loss and maintenance of a healthy body weight. The course includes practical tips, tools and information to incorporate into your own life or to equip you to assist your patients or clients.

Earn 9 CPD points certified by ASCHP, professional body for counselors with designations listed on the NQF. The course can also be done in three separate parts (earn 3 CPD points per part, if done separately)

Here is exactly what we cover in this course:

    Part 1:

    • Holistic Health (the mind, body and soul unit): the 8 wellness dimensions and causes of overweight and obesity, emphasising that fat loss improves health risks and reduces the risk of the chronic diseases of lifestyle (incl. type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, heart disease, depression, anxiety, and so on)
    • Weight Loss versus Fat Loss: body composition is discussed to measure fat loss and holistic weight loss factors.
