  • Description

This course is a personal development programme focused on emotional regulation as a practical self-development skill, delivered within a wellness counselling framework. It is designed to support individuals in developing greater emotional awareness, self-understanding, and emotional responsiveness in everyday life.

Rather than focusing on controlling or suppressing emotions, the course presents emotional regulation as the ability to notice, understand and respond to emotional experiences in supportive and intentional ways. Learners will explore how emotions function, how the body and nervous system influence emotional states, and how simple, everyday practices can support emotional balance and resilience over time.

The content remains firmly within the wellness counselling sphere and is both educational and preventative in nature. It does not include diagnosis, therapy, trauma processing, or mental health treatment. Instead, the course emphasizes self-awareness, emotional literacy, self-responsibility, and sustainable personal growth, making it appropriate for non-clinical contexts and ASCHP-registered practitioners.

Throughout the course, learners are encouraged to develop insight into their emotional patterns, improve communication and boundaries, and build practical regulation skills that can be integrated into daily life. The overall focus is on growth rather than perfection, supporting emotional wellbeing through consistent awareness and compassionate self-development.
