  An invaluable course for all Gr 1 – Gr 6 Teachers, Remedial Teachers, and Therapists.

   It is accredited by the South African Council for Educators (SACE). Teachers and 4th-year Education Students earn 15 CPTD points after completion of the Course and the Assessment.

  • This comprehensive and professional remedial programme consists of:
    • 4 theoretical MODULES completed ONLINE.
    • 3 practical exercises which are done in your own time at home.
    • Modules are to be completed in sequence.
  • Prerequisite: Completion of the online “Short Course on Dyslexia”. Click here to Complete it online now. 
  • All physical equipment and tools needed are included.
  • The theoretical course is presented online on Videos and you may complete it at your own pace. However, the maximum time allowed to complete all 4 theoretical Modules and 3 practicals is 6 months.  
  • Fees are paid per Module only when you enrol for a Module.

  PLEASE NOTE: This course is only available for 35 days after the date of payment. Please ensure that you complete all the videos within 35 days.

  GoFocus Software Requirements

  At least intel i5 (Quad core min). 8Gb ram, and SSD hard drive. 60Gb free space.Windows 10 (Or any windows still in support by Microsoft, that is supported by Virtualbox).

  64Bit, Direct X Compatible sound card
  Stable internet connection for remote installation

  Here is exactly what we cover in this course:

  MODULE 1:
  Theory ± 4 hours
  The assessment tool, Focus Techniques, Alphabet @ the table, long-term memory technique, stand-on-one-leg technique.  Attendee receives Manual, ALL physical equipment, and forms.

  

  Practical Exercises - to complete at home (± 4.5 hours)
  Practise all skills learned, submit reports, video clips, and/or photos as prescribed.

  MODULE 2:
  Theory ± 4 hours
  Spelling Technique, Sight words, Pronunciation, turn-around technique.  Attendee receives Manual for this module, ALL equipment, forms, and tools.

  

  Practical Exercises - to complete at home (± 2 hours)
  Practise all skills learned, submit reports, video clips, and/or photos as prescribed.

  MODULE 3:
  Theory ± 4 hours
  Handwriting Skills, Fine motor coordination, Gross motor coordination, Reading exercise, Comprehension technique.  Attendee receives: Manual for this module, ALL equipment, forms, and tools.

  

  
  Practical Exercises - to complete at home (± 2 hours)
  Practise all skills learned, submit reports, video clips, and/or photos as prescribed.

  Module 4: 
  Theory ± 3 hours
  A visual explanation of all the Computer Software Sections, from uploading of the assessment to managing learners’ profiles. Attendee receives Manual, ALL equipment and Computer Software Programme, Certificate.

  

  Full GoFocus Computer Programme 
  The computer programme consists of 8 elaborate sections. Focusing Techniques, Alphabet, Pronunciation, Punctuation, Sight Words, Reading & Comprehension, Handwriting, Telling Time.
